At Smyrna Christian Church we seek to be an exciting fellowship of Christians who are passionate about God's love, grace, and mercy.

Due to spikes in positive COVID 19 cases in our region, we will be doing a virtual only service via FaceBook live.

Regular updates as to when we'll reassemble in our sanctuary will be posted on our website and FaceBook page

So join us this Sunday at 10:00AM via FaceBook Live!

We're approaching the close of our studies in the Book of Esther. We look this week at the balance of chapter 9 that we began last week. This week we'll be discussing the importance of "Remembering".

Esther 9: 20-32

"... these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, in every clan, province, and city, and that these days of Purim should never fall into disuse among the Jews, nor should the commemoration of the days cease among their descendants. "

Esther 9:28

Our Minister

Rev. Bill Ford, and his wife Marcie, are very excited to be calling Bruington home. Bill began his ministry with Smyrna CC in November of 2019.

Bill earned his MDiv degree at Asbury Theological Seminary and has over 20 years of ministry experience.
Bill and Marcie moved here from Northeast Georgia where they both  have lived most of their lives.

Marcie is a Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of nursing experience. Her area of practice is Internal Medicine and she is practicing with the Bon Secours medical team in Lively and Kilmarnock.

Bill and Marcie are very enthusiastic and feel blessed that their paths have led them to Bruington for this new phase of their personal and professional lives together.

Smyrna is one of the oldest Christian Churches (Disciples of Christ) in the nation. The first church building was completed and dedicated in 1832. Thomas and Alexander Campbell, father and son, toured Tidewater Virginia in 1832 “calling for a return to fundamental principles and the acceptance of the New Testament and that alone as the source of all authority.”
